When I was 17 and living away from home, attending college, sitting among my female peers, during one break time, one of them told me that I wear my heart on my sleeve. I had never heard this phrase before and needed it explaining to me! Then everyone around, nodded and made agreeing noises. I learnt something about myself in that moment, a first step into self awareness and I liked that I was seen like this. It turned out to be the first of many more times to come that people said this to me. Maybe in different ways, transparent, honest, real, what you see is what you get etc. And today, authentic would be used.
Now in my 50's I look back on my life and how I have spent a lot of it bumbling through, with an abundance of successful and poor decisions along the way. Blinkered moments and blind sided moments, I can honestly say I have not got it all right all of the time. People have hurt me and I will have hurt people along the way and it is with this knowledge that inspires me to keep on rising up to the challenge of life.
And whilst I am being honest, this is not the first "about me" section that I have written. Initially I went for all the corporate, swallowed a thesaurus speak, and it bothered me. I found myself losing interest in building this page and my brand and then I realised, I was not being real, which meant I was beige and I would not reach the clients that would best align with my way of working. I am not here to waste anyone's time or money, I am here to be true to myself and YOU.

Let the old you meet the real you.
I believe there are many parts to all of us and we are constantly adjusting who we are to a different set of circumstances. I don't think it serves us to be rigid and inflexible or we can become stuck.
But if you find yourself bending and twisting to fit in and to be liked and not upset anyone, then who really are you, where have YOU gone? Never mind no one really knowing the real you, YOU don't even know you.
I have been this person.
The bravery and courage that you think you can see in others isn't always coming naturally to them. They are working at it, they are trying every hour of the day. Some may come with inherent talent they were born with but many have learned it, honed it and crafted themselves into who they are.
You can be that person too, but as you, not a copy of them.
With my coaching style, you'll gain the strength and confidence needed to pursue your full potential. I will hold the space for you to feel able to explore those deep crevices and unturned stones. You may find yourself saying things out loud you had never dared to say before.

So when it comes to your relationships at work, at home, at play, they can be more of what you need and want. When it comes to saying something out loud, to being heard, to speaking up in a meeting, entering a crowded room, picking up a hobby or embarking on your own business, you can believe in yourself to get what you want from those moments important to you.

I have being a client of this style of coaching and I know it works. It floored me at times, it gave me plenty to think about at others. I talked and talked and felt like I was just getting everything out and then I was silent, and I was thoughtful and I got butterflies in my tummy. I realised I had said things I didn't even know I felt as I took the layers off.
